Fortera has developed a carbon-to-value technology that converts kiln emissions into a cementitious material comparable to ordinary cement. Fortera's patented process stabilizes vaterite in powder form until it is mixed with water, functioning similarly to ordinary Portland cement (OPC). It can replace OPC on a one-to-one basis, reducing carbon emissions while using limestone more efficiently.
