NOVA by Saint-Gobain portfolio company, FibreCoat, announced a novel zinc-based coating to reinforce fibers.

The coating is designed to deliver superior corrosion resistance in concrete and other high alkaline environments where embedded steel or aluminum can rapidly degrade. 

FibreCoat is a German company producing high-performance composite fibers using a patented spinning and coating technology.
